Our very first session with Steve Christie, unpicking where we can go with our debut album
Well that was a whole bucket load of fun! Locked away with Sir Steve of Lockerley at Vintage Keys Studio (talented and bonkers in equal measure). For the first time we're really seeing how the ideas we have could finally all knit together. We were a bit nervous to be honest, having never been in a studio… not knowing how to prep. But the weekend was just great, from start to finish
Rolling out the Fender Rhodes and Steinway on Barking Mad was a real standout moment. Just a ruddy great way to spend the weekends - much more of this please! Lots of tea drunk, random tangents and odd chat and a fair bit of music unlocked. We also tried the IK choir for the first time at the end of This Will Pass, included everyone in the studio singing ‘you're on your way now’ … just an really uplifting moment! I think we can use that more - worked for Queen!
